Dig Into Secrets Loot Tier List
Sell the backpack. Keep the outliers. Depth is only better when the pile is worth the walk.
Loot is the stuff that flies out of the shaft in Dig Into Secrets. It is not your identity. It is Cash that has not visited the sell button yet. This ranking tells you what to vendor, what to inspect, and when a layer is a waste of Power. Pair it with the loot hub and how to mine.
S-tier loot — inspect before selling
- Anything the game labels legendary, mythic, or secret
- Items with a use prompt (keys, eggs, tools, portals)
- Drops that mention Alien, UFO, or Power in the name
- First-of-kind drops if an index or journal exists
S-tier is rare. If every block is “S” you are not ranking, you are hoarding. After inspect, if it is just a shiny common, it falls to B or D.
A-tier — high Cash per slot
- High-rarity ores from deep bands
- Stacks that fill a huge percent of a sell trip
- Event drops while an event is live (see updates)
A-tier can be sold when you need an egg now. It is not sacred. It is expensive fuel.
B-tier — default sell
- Mid-color ores from the middle of the shaft
- Duplicate rares after you already logged them
- Chunks that exist only to fill the bag
B-tier is the reason you mine. Sell it on a schedule, not when you panic.
C-tier — sell unless you are completing something
- Commons from the dirt layer
- Decorative rocks
- Drops you cannot identify after a five-second inspect
If a future journal wants commons, keep one. Keep one. Not forty.
D-tier — vendor immediately
- Grey filler that even the UI looks bored by
- Items that say they sell for almost nothing and have no prompt
- Anything left in the bag when you are about to rebirth
D-tier expires at the reset. Selling it is free Power in the next life if Cash converts into a persistent egg first.
Layer ranking (depth as loot)
Because we do not have an official ore HP table, rank layers by Cash per minute, not by how scary the thumbnail looks.
| Layer feel | Rank | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Instant breaks, tiny drops | C | Fine for brand new accounts only |
| Fast breaks, steady Cash | S for grinding | Stay here |
| Slow breaks, pretty ores | B or worse | Train and come back |
| Cannot break | — | Leave |
| Weird alien colors | S to inspect | Alien Area |
The 1000 m pit in the hero art is a promise. It is not S-tier if you chip it once per second.
Full backpack rules
- Stop swinging.
- Sell D, C, B.
- Inspect A and S.
- Buy an egg if the pets tier list would improve.
- Return to the same shaft on a private server.
Never start a new spaghetti hole because the bag is full. That is how you lose both loot and time.
Loot vs pets
Pets persist more often than loot. Convert A-tier piles into eggs before a reset if pets stay. Convert nothing if you have not read the tooltip — rebirth planner.
Other games’ loot
DIG journals, Dig It magnets, and Dig to Escape minerals are not this list. If a site ranks “Secret Mole”, you opened the wrong wiki. Come back to the tier list hub and stay in this universe ID.
Sell. Hatch. Mine again.
