Dig Into Secrets Progression Tier List
Rank the next hour of play, not a fake unit roster. The best button changes.
Most tier lists rank characters. Dig Into Secrets barely has a public roster, so this page ranks decisions. Each session you pick one S-tier action. Doing all four at once is how beginners stall. Use this with the rebirth planner, training guide, and guides hub.
S-tier actions (do these when they apply)
- Redeem live codes if they are unused on this account
- Train if the current layer does not break cleanly
- Sell a full backpack
- Rebirth when upgrades are flat and the bag is empty
S-tier is situational. Codes are S once per string, not forever. Training is S until the pickaxe works. Rebirth is S maybe once a session.
A-tier actions (the grind)
- Mine a layer you can one-shot — how to mine
- Hatch eggs that can beat your current pets tier
- Move to a private mining server
- Test a new pet with a one-minute timed shaft
A-tier is where hours go. If you cannot name which A-tier you are on, you are wandering.
B-tier actions (optional)
- Public server social mining
- Cosmetic shop browsing
- Alien hunts before you have Power — still read Alien Area
- Watching other people hatch
B-tier is allowed after the loop is healthy. It is not the first hour. See Getting Started.
C-tier actions (usually a stall)
- Opening a new hole every two minutes
- Rebirthing with unsold loot
- Buying trails with WELCOME Cash
- Pasting a random script because the pad felt slow
- Hunting DIG secrets
C-tier looks like playing and measures like zero.
D-tier actions (stop)
- Giving account details for “free legendaries”
- Paying Robux for a code
- Following a walkthrough filmed in a different place ID
- AFK in spawn
Decision table
| If you notice… | Next action | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Blocks chip | Train | Power is the pickaxe |
| Bag full | Sell, maybe hatch | Loot is unspent Cash |
| Egg cheap vs income | Hatch | Pets beat raw pad time |
| Upgrades huge | Rebirth | Multiplier is the content |
| Crowd on the pad | Private server | 20-player cap |
| Purple weird wall | Inspect | Possible Alien Area |
| Codes unused | Redeem | Free, once |
Session templates
Thirty-minute login: codes if needed → train 5 → mine 15 → sell → hatch if possible → log off. No rebirth unless the button was already the plan.
Hour grind: private server → train until one-shot → two sell cycles → one egg → if still flat, rebirth → rebuild Power.
Alien night: only after A-tier pets and a layer you already own. Hunt walls, do not skip training because a thumbnail showed a UFO.
How this interacts with other lists
Pets and loot lists tell you which object is good. This list tells you whether to seek objects at all. A perfect S-tier pet does not help if you never train. A perfect deep ore does not help if you never sell. The players hub stores objects. This page stores the schedule.
When a patch adds a new system (enchanting, vehicles, a second world), it will insert a new A-tier row. Until then, the official order still wins: train, mine, sell, hatch, rebirth, find aliens.
Pick one S-tier. Do it. Then mine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Dig Into Secrets miners.
What should I do right now in Dig Into Secrets?
Use the decision table on this progression tier list. If blocks chip, train.
Is rebirth always S-tier?
No. Only when upgrades stall and the bag is empty. See how to rebirth.
Where do codes sit on this list?
S-tier once per unused string. Then ignore them until updates.
Should I hunt the Alien Area every session?
No. It is B-tier until Power is ready. Read the Alien Area guide.
Is using scripts A-tier?
They are a risk, not a rank. See the scripts hub.
