Dig Into Secrets Pets Tier List
Equip multipliers. Bench mascots. The planetary legendary in the thumbnail is a goal, not a starter.
This is the Dig Into Secrets pets ranking for progression. It sits next to the pets hub (the database) and how to hatch (the loop). S-tier means “this pet shortens the hole”. D-tier means “sell or store”. Names will fill in as the journal grows; until then, rank the inspect panel in front of you.
Ranking rules
- Power or mining-speed multipliers outrank cosmetics.
- Cash multipliers are A-tier during sell-grind, B-tier during a training block.
- Luck multipliers rise if you are hunting the Alien Area or a secret rarity. They are not default S.
- Higher rarity is a hint. The number on the pet is the truth.
- Empty slots are worse than a B-tier pet. Fill them.
- Newest hatch is not automatically the loadout. Compare.
S-tier — always equipped
- Highest Power % you own
- Highest mining speed % you own if Power is already comfortable for the layer
- Any pet that uniquely lets you break a depth gate you care about
If you only have one strong pet, it lives here. Do not share the slot with a cute common “for the aesthetic” on a grind account.
A-tier — specialists
- Best Cash % for restocking eggs
- Best luck % for Alien hunts and legendary eggs
- Strong all-rounders that lose to your S-tier by a little
Swap A-tier in for a purpose, then swap back. A luck pet on a training pad is a wasted slot unless it also has Power.
B-tier — fine until replaced
- Mid rarities with small multipliers
- Duplicate legendaries that do not beat your main
- Pets you keep for a future fusion or craft if the game adds one
B-tier fills extra slots. When slots are full, the weakest B becomes sell-or-store according to the loot logic — pets are not loot, but inventory caps are real.
C-tier — cosmetics and jokes
- Trails attached to pets with no bonus
- Tiny Cash pets that do not change sell trips
- Event mascots with flavor text and a 1% nothing
Equip on a flex screenshot. Unequip before rebirth testing.
D-tier — vendor
- No bonus listed
- Broken or outdated pets after a patch
- Anything you hatched by accident and never inspect
Sell. You need the slot more than the memory.
Loadouts by session
| Session | Equip |
|---|---|
| First hour | Whatever hatched; then follow Getting Started |
| Training | Max Power |
| Mining for eggs | Power + Cash |
| Alien hunt | Power + luck |
| Rebirth rebuild | Same S-tier as last life |
Legendary planet and secrets
The official art screams LEGENDARY on a ringed planet popping from a crater. Chase that after the loop is healthy, not instead of codes and training. A secret rarity, if added, is a trophy until it has a multiplier worth S. Do not delete it. Do not assume it mines.
Auto-equip scripts
Auto hatch tools often auto-equip the last hatch. That silently ruins this list. After any scripted or bulk hatch, open the inspect UI and restore S-tier by hand.
Updating this list
When named pets are public, each name will get a row, a best egg, and a note on whether it persists through rebirth. Until then, this page is the method. The method beats a fake 40-row table copied from another simulator.
For the rest of the rankings, return to the tier list hub. For the hatch button itself, stay on how to hatch pets.
