Dig Into Secrets Pets

Companions are multipliers with models. Inspect the number, then equip it.

Pets

Pets are the roster of Dig Into Secrets. You hatch them from eggs bought with mining Cash, equip the ones with real bonuses, and ignore the rest. This page is the database-style overview. For ranks, use the pets tier list. For the button sequence, use how to hatch pets.

Anatomy of a pet

Open inventory → pets → inspect. You want:

  • Rarity color — a hint
  • Bonus line — Power, speed, Cash, luck
  • Equip slots used — some incrementals eat two slots for a big pet
  • Unique effect — if any (auto-collect, extra luck in a biome)

If the inspect panel is empty of numbers, the pet is a mascot. Mascots are C-tier.

Slots

Fill every slot with a bonus pet before you flex a cosmetic. Empty slots are unpaid Power. After a bulk hatch, re-sort by bonus, not by newest. Auto-equip from an auto hatch script will lie to you.

How pets enter the account

  1. Mine and sell — how to mine
  2. Buy egg
  3. Hatch
  4. Inspect
  5. Equip or store

Codes may dump an egg or a pet. Redeem WELCOME / POWERBUFF before you decide you “cannot afford” a hatch.

Pets and Power

A pet does not replace training. It multiplies the base. Think of Power as the character level and pets as gear. Gear on level 1 still looks like level 1 in a deep shaft.

Pets and rebirth

Most +1 games keep pets through rebirth. Confirm the tooltip. If they stay, your zoo is the reason each life is shorter. If they reset, pets are just a fancy loot pile and you should convert them before the button. The rebirth planner has that checkbox.

Legendary and alien pets

Promo art shows a planetary legendary and a green alien. Those are the north stars of the roster. When you hatch something that looks like them, screenshot the inspect panel, not just the model. If the bonus is weak, it is a trophy, not S-tier. If it is strong, it becomes the new always-on pet on the tier list.

Alien-themed pets may matter more inside the Alien Area. Until that is confirmed, they still need a number.

Inventory hygiene

  • Delete or sell floor commons when the pet bag is full
  • Keep one of each unique effect
  • Keep duplicates only if a craft/fusion exists (not confirmed at launch)
  • Never drop pets on a public floor

What this page will add later

Named rows, egg sources, and hatch rates when the game shows them. We will not invent a “Shadow Pickaxe Dragon” to look complete. For now the skill is inspect-and-equip, which already beats half the public server.

Return to the players hub for loot and training. Return to guides for verbs.

First three hatches on a new account

Hatch one cheap egg as soon as WELCOME Cash plus one sell trip can pay for it. Equip it even if it is common, because an empty slot is worse. Hatch a second after you can one-shot the first ore color. Only then look at a pricier egg. That order is Getting Started applied to the roster. If the second hatch loses the inspect panel to the first, keep the first equipped and store the second. Use the codes checklist before you decide you are too poor to hatch. Do not wait for the planetary legendary in the thumbnail. That wait is how people skip training and then blame pets for a weak pickaxe.
